When did you start armwrestling?
A few early attempts, but regularly since June 2005.
First tournament  2005 - Work Out West Armwrestling Summer Bash in Greeley, CO
How did you place? 2 losses to Corey Miller!
What weight classes do you typically pull? Been pulling 176 R & L since early 2010; 198s before that.
What titles have you won, at any level?
  • Two Colorado State Titles (2006, 2009)
  • One Mountain States Peak Performance Championships Title (2006)
  • One World Police and Fire Amateur Title (2010)
What goals do you have for yourself in armwrestling?
  • Earn the respect of every puller across the table from me
What do you do for a living? Research scientist at a national laboratory - electron microscopy and nanotechnology.
What hobbies do you enjoy? Model railroading; swimming; international travel; watching my 2 daughters grow up. And, armwrestling really is just a hobby for me!
Family? Wife, daughters, and 2 cats in Louisville, CO. Parents, brother in Minneapolis, MN.
Toughest opponent Justin Kaufman and Jeff Workman, both of Colorado 198 fame. Together, zero wins against these guys, and I can't count the losses.
How do you train for armwrestling? Armwrestling-specific training in gym 1-2 times per week, table time about every other week since autumn 2010. Various cardio workouts - swimming or running 1-2 X/week (not really for armwrestling, but keeps weight under control!)
